EduCar App

What?

EduCar is a concept app that is a car education app, designed for women. With so many predatory shops, an app like this would help women maintain cars themselves or be able to avoid shops that take advantage of women.

Why?

This app matters to women because within that same study it was found that,

“The positive spin of our research is that once you have knowledge — any minimal knowledge — then you are treated the same as a man.”

Meaning that even with some baseline knowledge of one's vehicle it can either save them money or be able to do it themselves without having to be put into that situation.

5 female car drivers who maintain their own vehicle's were interviewed, along with a survey sent out for broader results.

With these results, an Affinity map was made and arranged to cover the basics in order to create our User Persona.

After which, we went through the ideation phase for our app.

A user journey map of a possible scenario for app discovery and use.

After all this data, we began our sketching and prototyping for EduCar

With user testing and iteration, we created our mid-fidelity prototype

We tested 3 participants for our prototype and we had a 100% success rate in our 4 selected tasks. We also took their feedback for further iteration.
